Your skin is your diary, each tattoo illustrates your journey

FullSizeRender.jpeg

Hello friends...

I’m Brooke and welcome to my page. I’ve lived in Ohio for 30 years. Im a mom of 4 boys, and a BB (grandma) to two beautiful girls. I’m a retired Registered Nurse of 17 years turned tattoo artist. That’s always the biggest question I receive,” How did you get into tattooing.” Well, I’ve always been an artist, but when I graduated high school my options for art were limited. I loved caring for people, and I come from a family of nurses. I choose nursing, and art as a hobby. As I got older, medicine became more corporate and less compassionate. It was NOT a path I could follow. Tattooing became increasingly popular and I was creating designs for family and friends. In 2007 I was offered an apprenticeship, and I took it! For 2 years I worked as a nurse, and studied tattooing. I tattooed part-time for 7 years, and full- time the last 5 years. I love art, beauty, and all things realistic. I have a strong foundation in realism. I love portrait work, bold colorful illustration, but I also love soft flowers and delicate images. I am passionate about helping people heal. For a long time I wondered how I could help people with my Tattooing. Just like with nursing, tattooing allows me to help many clients on their journey to heal, from past trauma, memorialize loved ones, or create confidence with beauty placed on skin. I’ve covered self-harm scars and surgical scars. I’ve helped people memorialize lost loved ones, heal from divorce, cover “brandings” from women recovering from being trafficked or from a former abusive relationship. Tattooing is incredibly special to me, and I’m honored to be in this Industry. I really look forward to developing a relationship with you on your Illustrative Journey.

SUBMISSION OF YOUR DESIGN

I do not regularly work on Sundays or Wednesday’s. If those are the only days you have off please tell me and I maybe able to accommodate you. No appointment will begin at the end of a work day. Please be willing to be flexible and understanding that I am a working mom and I can not allow work to compromise my home life.

Your submission does not guarantee an appointment with me. However, if I feel your design does not match my abilities or portfolio I will recommend another artist who would better execute your vision.

Please allow 48 hours for your response. This booking process helps streamline all my messages, so please contact me here in regards to your tattoo.

DEPOSITS

Once you've been contacted to book your appointment I will require a $100 NON-REFUNDABLE deposit to hold your time slot specifically for you!

Deposits are paid for at time of date and time selection and are applied to the balance of your work the day of your appointment.

CANCELATIONS/TARDINESS

Remember this time is booked specifically for you and I cherish this time to give you the best experience as I do with each client. My days are planned out in order to reflect that. Please be mindful that what YOU may do can/will inevitably impact another client. Please be courteous.

To cancel your appointment you will need to reach out via the messaging system initiated with your submission your request within 48hrs of your scheduled slot. Failure to do so will forfeit your deposit and you will need to resubmit your project. Availability is limited so please try to avoid canceling.

If you are 15 minutes late to your appointment, and I am not notified, your deposit will be forfeited and you will need to resubmit your project.

If you do not show or call the day of your appointment your deposit will be forfeited and you will need to resubmit your project. Two no call/shows will result in the inability to work with me again.

PRICING

Your investment will be quoted per piece and will be determined by the following...

  • size

  • placement

  • detail

  • design time

  • Budget

My minimum is $150, not ideal for tiny pieces unless you do more than one at a time. If for some reason your piece is not completed within that time frame, another appointment will need to be booked and your deposit will carry over to that appointment.

When working on large pieces, I charge by session. Your investment will be discussed during our booking conversation. I try to get as much done on the piece in the time allotted. When pricing large pieces, my fee is an estimate. It may take more or less sessions, depending on how well you can manage the pain, and break times that occur during the process. If you book a session that time is blocked for you. If you cannot sit the entire allotted time you will still be billed for the whole session.

I try to keep my pricing reasonable, but please remember this is permanent artwork unique to you. Each individual piece is an investment that you’ll never have to re buy.

PAYMENTS

Cash is preferred but I also accept Credit Cards, Venmo or PayPal. However, if paying by credit card there will be a 7% charge due to the card processing fees.

All Gift Certificates will have an expiration date that is strictly followed. Appointments MUST BE made at least 6 weeks in advance before that expiration date.

YOUR APPOINTMENT

You must have valid state/federal ID with you the day of your session or it will be cancelled, you will lose your deposit and will need to resubmit your project.

Please arrive slightly early to complete paperwork.

Due to the current COVID-19 circumstances we ask that you come alone to your session and no children will have access to the shop. If you have a medical condition in which you need a driver or attendant please inform me when you submit your design.

HOW TO PREPARE

Please eat a full meal before your session and hydrate in the days before and the day of your session. Your artwork is being applied to your skin, one of our largest organs, what we put in our body's directly reflects in your skin. For your session to go smoothly and the ink to be applied appropriately your skin should be healthy. Healing time is decreased also!

Please wear dark/black clothing, relevant to your new art placement. This helps reduces the chances of ink ruining your clothes.

Please avoid sun exposure and self-tanners for least a week before your session to prevent infection.

PROJECTS I'M LOOKING FOR

I'm pretty honest and upfront, if the elements in your design won’t transfer well to a tattoo I will work hard to accommodate your request. However, if we cannot agree on the design I will refer you to another artist. I want you to get the best.

I love pieces that allow me full artistic freedom and allow me to showcase my style and talent. References are welcome, but I design your tattoo based on the general theme. I do the best at what I love to do...and I hope you would want the best possible outcome for your forever piece.
